Casper's Cosy Cattery is situated in our garden. While we are not in the cattery, it is locked up and fully secured along with CCTV in operation 24 hours a day.
In addition, onsite security is provided by Salem (on the right) He is our head of security and keeps a watchful eye over the premises and ensures that there is no trouble and prevents anything from being stolen, paying particular attention to the Dreamies tub! (although I think he is the only one who ever pinches them!!)
During summer of 2024, Salem will be getting a young security apprentice called Spike! So look out for him!
Don't forget to say Hi to Salem and give him a tickle when you come to the cattery, he is super friendly and loves the attention!
Please be aware, that if you do not see Salem it does not mean that he hasn't seen you!!!

We appreciate that every cat owner needs to be confident that their cats will be well looked after during their stay and encourage you to visit our premises before making a booking. This will give you an opportunity to see the accommodation and familiarise yourselves with our terms and conditions. It also gives us a chance to discuss any individual needs that may be required.
While we are happy to look after your cats over the Christmas and New Year period, we do not allow Drop offs and pick ups on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
All cats who come to stay with us MUST show a valid up to date vaccination certificate against Feline Influenza and Feline Enteritis on each visit. Outdoor cats MUST also be vaccinated against Feline Leukaemia Virus to board. Primary vaccination must not have been administered any less than fourteen days prior to boarding in order to protect our other guests from possible infection. Please note that only vaccinated kittens can be accepted.
We request that all our guests have been treated against flea infestation at least one week before their arrival. Fleas spread rapidly among a cat population and can be easily detected by combing the cat and by small black deposits on their bedding. All cats will be inspected on arrival. We reserve the right to apply flea treatment to any guest found to have flea infestation on arrival or if the flea treatments are not up to date. The cost of treatment will be charged to the owner. Please note that flea collars are not considered adequate protection. If we do need to administer flea treatment, there will be a charge of £12.00
In addition, please ensure that all our guests have been treated against worm infestation ay least one week before their arrival. We reserve the right to apply worm treatment to any guest found to have a worm infestation during their stay or if the worming treatments are not up to date. If we do need to administer worm treatment, there will be a charge of £12.00.
Any cat over the age of seven months, who is not neutered/spayed, cannot be accepted for boarding.
All our guests food for the duration of their stay is included in the price. We keep a large stock of Generic foods such as Whiskas, Felix, Purina One and Go-Kat. If your cat has eats anything different we are also happy to provide that but please let us know before the drop off date so we can ensure we have it in stock for them on when they arrive. Unfortunately, we can not provide speciality foods such as those prescribed by a vet or bespoke food provided by an online vender.
We are happy to administer any medication, including injections, which have been prescribed by a vet, provided full and clear instructions are left by the owner and a consent form is signed.
Unfortunately, any guest found to be suffering from or suspected to be suffering from, an infectious or contagious disease on arrival will not be accepted. All guests will be inspected on arrival and we reserve the right to refuse admission to any guests showing any signs of ill health pending advice from our veterinary surgeon. This is essential in order to protect and safeguard the health of other guests.
Veterinary services will be arranged should this be necessary during your cat’s stay. If any client prefers their cat to be seen by their usual vet, please discuss this with us prior to arrival. There will be an extra charge for transportation to the vet of £15 per visit. Any vet bills will be covered by the cat owner.
Whilst every care and precaution is taken to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all cats, they are boarded entirely at the owner’s own risk. If any animal is not collected within 14 days of the stated departure date and no communication received either from the owner or their agent, we reserve the right to re-home.
